Learn how to create, manage, and organize your product catalog in ServX Pro.

Creating a Product

  1. Navigate to Inventory → Products
  2. Click "New Product"
  3. Enter product name and description
  4. Set SKU/barcode for identification
  5. Select product category and type
  6. Set pricing information (cost, selling price)
  7. Configure units of measure
  8. Upload product image (optional)
  9. Click "Save" to create the product

Product Information Fields

Basic Information

  • Product Name - Display name
  • SKU - Stock keeping unit
  • Barcode - Scannable code
  • Description - Product details

Classification

  • Category - Product group
  • Brand - Manufacturer
  • Type - Inventory/Service/Kit
  • Tags - Search labels

Pricing

  • Cost Price - Purchase cost
  • Selling Price - Retail price
  • Wholesale Price - Bulk price
  • Tax Rate - Applicable tax

Inventory

  • Track Inventory - Enable/disable
  • Reorder Point - Low stock alert
  • Reorder Qty - Suggested order
  • Unit of Measure - Pcs, Kg, etc.

Product Types

Inventory Item

Physical products with stock tracking. Quantities are managed across warehouses.

Service

Non-physical items like labor or consulting. No inventory tracking required.

Kit/Bundle

Combination of products sold together. Components are deducted from stock.

Tips

  • Use consistent SKU naming conventions for easy searching
  • Set reorder points to prevent stockouts
  • Keep product images updated for POS identification
