The Point of Sale (POS) system enables quick retail transactions. Process sales, accept multiple payment methods, and print receipts in a streamlined interface designed for speed and efficiency.

1. Making Sales

The POS interface is designed for fast checkout. Add products by scanning barcodes or searching, apply discounts, and complete transactions quickly.

Adding Items to Cart

Barcode Scan

Scan product barcodes with a barcode scanner for instant lookup.

Product Search

Search by product name or SKU to find items quickly.

Category Browse

Browse products by category for visual selection.

Cart Operations

Adjust Quantity

Click +/- buttons or type quantity directly

Remove Item

Click the trash icon to remove from cart

Apply Discount

Enter discount amount or percentage

Promo Code

Enter promo codes for automatic discounts

Customer Selection (Optional)

Link the transaction to a customer for loyalty tracking and receipts. Start typing the customer name to search existing records.

Card Payment Details

When processing card payments, you can optionally record:

  • Card Type - Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, etc.
  • Last 4 Digits - For reference on receipt
  • Transaction Reference - Terminal reference number

Cash Payment Tips

  • • Enter the cash received to calculate change due
  • • Quick-select buttons for common bill amounts
  • • Change due is displayed prominently

3. Transaction History

View and manage all POS transactions. Each transaction is recorded with complete details for audit and reference.

Transaction Record

Identifiers

  • Transaction ID - POS-YYYYMMDD-####
  • Receipt Number - Unique receipt code
  • Transaction Date - Date and time

Participants

  • Cashier - User who processed the sale
  • Customer - If linked to a customer
  • Warehouse - Location where sale occurred

Amounts

  • Subtotal - Items total before tax/discount
  • Tax Amount - Calculated tax
  • Discount - Applied discounts
  • Total Amount - Final amount paid

Status

  • Completed - Successful sale
  • Cancelled - Voided transaction
  • Refunded - Full refund
  • Partially Refunded

Each transaction stores complete item details:

4. Processing Refunds

Process full or partial refunds when customers return products or require adjustments.

How to Process a Refund

  1. Navigate to POS → Transactions
  2. Find and open the original transaction
  3. Click "Process Refund"
  4. Enter the refund amount (full or partial)
  5. Select the reason for the refund
  6. Confirm the refund
  7. Print refund receipt if needed

5. Receipts

Receipt Features

  • Print Receipt - Print thermal or standard receipts
  • Email Receipt - Send digital receipt to customer email
  • Reprint - Reprint receipts from transaction history
