Transactions & Refunds

Learn how to view transaction history and process refunds in ServX Pro.

Transaction History

View all POS transactions for the current shift or historical data:

  1. Click "Transactions" in the POS menu
  2. Filter by date range, cashier, or payment type
  3. Search by receipt number or customer
  4. Click any transaction to view details

Processing a Refund

  1. Find the original transaction
  2. Click "Refund" button
  3. Select items to refund (all or partial)
  4. Enter refund reason
  5. Choose refund method (original method or cash)
  6. Process the refund
  7. Print refund receipt

Full Refund

Returns all items from the original sale. Full amount is refunded.

Partial Refund

Returns only selected items. Remaining items stay on the sale.

Voids vs Refunds

Void

  • • Same day/shift only
  • • Cancels the transaction
  • • No money has been settled
  • • Faster process

Refund

  • • Any time after sale
  • • Creates reverse transaction
  • • Returns money to customer
  • • Audit trail maintained

Reprinting Receipts

Reprint receipts for customers or records:

  1. Find the transaction in history
  2. Click "View" to open details
  3. Click "Print Receipt"
  4. Choose printer or email option

End of Day / Shift Close

  1. Click "Close Shift"
  2. Count cash in drawer
  3. Enter counted amount
  4. System calculates any variance
  5. Add notes if needed
  6. Confirm to close shift
  7. Print shift summary report

Tips

  • Always verify customer receipt before processing refunds
  • Document refund reasons for reporting
  • Close shift at the same time daily for accurate reporting
